Women Arise has zero tolerance for abusive or objectionable behaviour. This is a sisterhood, and every woman here should be able to speak, cry, celebrate and grow without fear. Content or behaviour that breaks these guidelines will be removed, and accounts may be suspended or permanently removed.
What is not allowed
Harassment or bullying of any member.
Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, language, gender, disability, age or religion.
Sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate content, including explicit images and voice notes.
Threats of violence, or encouraging violence or self-harm.
Fraud, scams, get-rich-quick schemes, chain messages or spam.
Deliberate abuse of another member, including pile-ons, name-calling and shaming.
Sharing another member's private information, messages or photographs without her consent.
What we ask of you
Speak as a sister: honest, kind, and slow to accuse.
Disagree gently. We will not always see Scripture, marriage, motherhood, health or money the same way.
Keep what is shared in the chat room and in prayer requests confidential.
Encourage rather than diagnose. We are not a substitute for a doctor, therapist or pastor.
Report anything that troubles you instead of handling it alone.
Reporting a message
Tap the (...) menu on any message in Sisterhood Chat - or press and hold the message on your phone - and choose Report message. Choose a reason, add a note if you would like to, and send it. Your report goes straight to the Women Arise moderation team. The member is never told who reported her.
Blocking a member
Choosing Block member hides that member's messages from you, everywhere in the app, on every device you sign in on. She stays part of the community for everyone else, and she is not told that you blocked her. You can unblock her at any time from Profile, under Safety and Community, then Blocked Members.
How we respond
Reports are reviewed by the Women Arise moderation team.
We aim to act on valid reports within 24 hours.
Depending on what we find we may dismiss the report, remove the content, warn the member, suspend her posting access, or permanently remove her from the community.
Every moderation decision is recorded in an internal audit log.
