Who we are

WomenArise is a Christian women's community platform (web and mobile app) operated by the WomenArise team. Contact: admin@womenarisesa.com.

Your journal is yours alone

Your journal entries and your conversations with Selah (our reflective companion) are private to you. No other user, no member of the community, and no administrator can read them. Access rules are enforced at the database level so that only you, signed in with your account, can view or export them.

Entries are stored in our backend database, which is hosted on managed infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest on the database volume. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your reflections with the care they deserve.

If you'd rather not keep your reflection in our database, you can choose "Discard" at the end of a journaling chat. Before we discard it we offer you the chance to download a PDF copy to keep for yourself.

You can also delete any saved entry at any time from the Journal screen. Deleted entries are removed from our database and are not recoverable, so we always offer a PDF export first.

Data we collect

• Account: email, display name and (optional) profile photo.
• Content you create: journal entries, chats, daily prompts, reflections, community chat messages, RSVPs.
• Technical: minimal, privacy-friendly analytics (page views, device type, country) with no cross-site tracking.

AI processing

When you chat with Selah, your messages are sent to an AI model provider (via the Lovable AI Gateway) to generate a reflective response. Messages are not used to train third-party models. Your journal content is never shared with advertisers.

Community chat

Messages you post in the shared WomenArise community chat are visible to other signed-in members of the community. Do not share anything there that you want to keep private, use your journal instead.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete my account. This permanently removes your profile, journal entries, chats, reflections and other personal data from our database. This action cannot be undone.

You can access, export or delete your data at any time. For any question or a formal data request, email admin@womenarisesa.com.

Children

WomenArise is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Scripture & content

Direct Scripture quotations in Women Arise are taken from the World English Bible (WEB), retrieved from a verified copy of the WEB text published by eBible.org that is bundled with the app. The World English Bible is in the Public Domain, which means it is not copyrighted. "World English Bible" is a Trademark of eBible.org.

Scripture references in Women Arise may be accompanied by original Women Arise devotional writing: reflections, encouragement, prayers, summaries of Bible passages and short paraphrases. This devotional writing is our own and should not be read as a direct Bible quotation unless it is clearly presented as one with its reference and marked WEB. Our AI companion, Selah, chooses which Bible passage to point you to and writes reflection and encouragement only. Selah never writes Bible wording: every direct quotation is looked up in the verified World English Bible text.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app.
